Quarterly Highlights

•   International tourist arrivals to Thailand in 2019 hit a new record of 39.8 million, increasing 4% Y-o-Y. Chinese tourists recovered in Q4 2019 with 2.5 million arrivals, increasing 14.7% Y-o-Y, totalling 10.9 million visitors at the end of 2019.

•   Full year occupancy rate for Downtown Bangkok hotels was 78.0%, decreasing 1.6 percentage points Y-o-Y. ADR decreased by 1.3% Y-o-Y to THB 3,412 and RevPAR fell by 3.4% Y-o-Y to THB 2,669.

•   Three new hotel openings in Q4 2019, Mercure and ibis Bangkok Sukhumvit 24, Daraya Boutique Hotel and Bizotel Premier, which added 721 keys to 49,181 keys across Downtown Bangkok, increasing 4.4% Y-o-Y

•   Total hotel supply will increase by 19.2% to 58,604 keys by 2022 in Downtown Bangkok. First Class will account the future supply at 37.8%.
