The last few months have witnessed unprecedented times for the Polish retail market. The reduction of retail facilities’ operations to a minimum in the period between 14th March and 4th May has stimulated retail brands to look for alternative forms of sales, while the awaited reopening of shopping centres has created uncertainty for landlords and tenants in relation to when footfall and sales will return to levels comparable to those recorded before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. The market observations in the first weeks after reopening have shown that customers are enthusiastically returning to shopping in reopened shopping centres.
